FEEDBACK HORROR Short Film Festival – Thursday October 27, 2016

The FEEDBACK Monthly Film Festival is back for 2016.. Our home is The Carlton Cinemas, located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 20 Carlton Street. The event runs from 7pm to 9:10pm.

Continuing to showcase the best of short films from around the world, while maintaining our audience feedback format moderated by Amanda Lomonaco. Showcasing a festival every single month in 2016!

Tickets for 2016 are PAY WHAT YOU LIKE. Purchase your tickets online via Paypal or Credit Card. Tickets are first come first serve.

All proceeds to this month’s festival will be donated to festival cinema costs (suggestion $8 and up), which helps the monthly event:

OR, if you like to obtain seats in advance and pick them up on the day of the event (come for FREE, or make a donation), please email us and we’ll reserve seats for you.

You can pick up the tickets on the day of the event at the cinema. Tickets are first come, first serve. This festival has sold out 48 out of its last 50 events!

You will be able to buy alcohol (beer, wine, liquor), popcorn, candy, and refreshments before the show.

MAYDAY, 13min. France, Horror/Fantasy
Directed by Sebastien Vanicek
Michel, subject to violent hallucinations, must overcome the imminence of death during his extradition flight towards United States. He will face head-front his delusions, the other passengers’ judgment, the firmness of US-law enforcement and the stress of an imminent crash. Way too much for this weak, aging and disturbed man…

LE PARDON, 5min, USA, Thriller/Mystery
Directed by Margarethe Baillou
Set in late 19th century New Orleans, LE PARDON portrays an unusual dialog between a man and a woman: he is heard but not seen, and she is seen but never speaks. A ghostly fictional short film, it is a tale of forgiveness and the art of listening, a poem about an almost encounter and an hommage to the Crescent City. French with English subtitles.

Directed by Robert Vassie
A surveillance team get inadvertently caught up in a hostage situation when the man they are following, a charismatic sociopath, takes his own lawyer captive and threatens to kill him. It is down to the leader of the team, located miles from the scene, to engage in a dangerous battle of wits with the target in effort to talk him out of harming anyone. .

Searching for a legendary hoard of gold coins, a man is goaded to unearth the darkness buried within.

O, 29min, Norway, Horror/Mystery
Directed by Frank Aron Gardso
Four friends are on a hiking trip into the deep midst of a forest. While filming the trip they accidentally lose one of their cell phones. In search of the lost phone they discover a mysterious black hole in the ground. Curious and puzzled by this newly discovered hole, they decide to explore it, which leads to a dramatic chain of events.
