Director Statement
One of the themes I really resonate with is simultaneous time and in this short film I wanted to convey how we are indeed all expressing/living/existing in many projections across the multiverse.
It’s kind of like if a tree falls in the woods but no one is there to see it, did it really happen? Am I a mere projection in your life, only existing because of our interaction? Am I in your dream or are you in mine?
For this project I chose the name Maya because it means illusion, and which version of her character really exists or do they all exist simultaneously? Ultimately, does it even matter?
